We are thrilled to be able to announce that the applications submitted by the Task Force to the Bus Service Improvement Fund re the 73 and 73A bus services have been successful. Both services will continue on the original timetables after the 27th December, with a revised timetable for the 73 that closely reflects the needs of communities coming into force in 2025 (date to be confirmed). However, the work doesn’t stop here: It is absolutely essential that we increase passenger use of the buses to ensure that they are sustainable and commercially viable within 2 years.
