At Bardwell Parish Council’s meeting on 15th August attended by 46 members of the public, including 10 from neighbouring villages, councillors received an update from Suffolk County Cllr Joanna Spicer, having received details of a revised timetable through to December 2027 . We are appreciative of the consideration given to the concerns expressed during the meeting on 31st July and very pleased to see that there is a short term solution proposed which enables a bus service to continue for Bardwell which affords us time to consider a more permanent and sustainable solution for the coming years.
However, in terms of the revised timetable proposed for the period 1st September through until 27th December 2024, a number of concerns were identified and Bardwell Parish Council has submitted detailed suggestions to SCC and Simonds for consideration in relation to:
1. Thurston College Afternoon pick up
2. Saturday Service (Currently none proposed for Bardwell).
3. Last Bus 16.15 from Bury St Edmunds
