Support Our Buses – All Aboard
On Monday 16th September, West Suffolk Council is holding its Overview and Scrutiny meeting in Stanton Village Hall at 5pm. Normally these meetings are held in West Suffolk House, but as a result of the relevance of item 7 on this agenda in relation to bus issues across rural communities within the district, the meeting is being held in Stanton.
Having considered written evidence and listened to verbal evidence provided at the meeting by Suffolk County Council, commercial bus companies, local rural task force representatives, and other relevant organisations during the meeting, Committee members will debate the current and future shape of rural bus services in West Suffolk and make appropriate recommendations to Cabinet. Bardwell Parish Cllr Karen Witton, Chair of our Support Our Buses Task Force (previously known as ‘Save Our Buses’) will be presenting verbal evidence during the meeting.
We need a strong show of support from our communities to highlight the vital importance of our rural bus service. Your presence can make a real difference.
Please urge and encourage as many people as possible to attend. Together we can demonstrate how much this service means to our community.
